Return and Refund Policy

Our Refund Policy lasts 10 days. If 10 days have gone by we, unfortunately, can not process your refund and we will repair your defective device. If we can not repair it we will replace it.

Our Refund Policy is only valid for products defective within 10 days of receipt of this purchase.

The following will not be regarded as defective :

  • the product is not suitable for the intended purpose but specifications were accurately described on the website
  • unauthorized alterations to the product resulting in damage
  • damage caused by inadequate caring of product
  • damage arising from electrical surges
  • damage caused by user negligence

The following products cannot be returned due to a change of mind in terms of the ECT Act:

Items that have been specially ordered for you, marked by “Special Import” in the title or description or anywhere on the product page. They can only be returned if faulty.

  1. Special Imports

All Special Imports are covered by a 6 Month Warranty unless stated otherwise. In the event that your special imported device is faulty within 6 Months we will collect the device from you. The device will be sent back to the supplier. Once the supplier indicates that they will replace the device we will immediately order a replacement for you. In the event that the supplier chooses to repair the device, we will not be liable to replace this device and you will have to wait for the time as specified by the supplier at that point. If the supplier indicates that the device will be replaced we will send you a replacement which will take 5-7 business days but may take up to 10

All Special Imported products do not carry a warranty in South Africa.

What is covered under warranty?

  • Hardware Problems
  • Touch Screen Problems
  • No peripherals are covered under warranty (including but not limited to chargers and pens)
  • Factory faults only
  1. New Purchases
    • All new purchases unless specially imported are covered under a manufacturer’s warranty. Please note we will NOT be responsible for any faulty devices bought Brand New. You will take your device directly to the manufacture. Please note Apple charges a book in fee.
    • Please note that if your device is faulty within 7 days we will replace it. 
  • There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
    -Products that have been used after being purchased, include items where the packaging has been removed or damaged. (25% of Item Purchase value). If you receive a product that’s packaging has been damaged on delivery please contact us within 12 hours of the product being received

Physical Damage or Damage caused by user negligence Voids Any warranty

 

  1. Blacklisted Phones /iPADs / other Apple Devices

We strictly do not tolerate stolen phones at iFixMacs SA. Due to us offering a trade-in service (allowing people to trade in their unwanted upgrade or unwanted phone on their new purchase) we make provision for devices being blacklisted by network providers. We take extensive measures to ensure the phone we bought are not stolen or going to be blacklisted for insurance purposes or any reason whatsoever. In the event that your device is blacklisted, we will immediately no questions asked to replace it within 7-10 days of you notifying us. If such a device is booked in or traded we will notify the authorities and hand over such device to the SAPS.

We will require the phone with the box and accessories as well as your proof of purchase. It is important that you send the phone back in a useable condition this includes

  • A fully functional phone
  • No cracks on the screen
  • With the original box

Based on how long you have used your device we will either replace your device with a brand new phone or a certified pre-owned unit. 99% of the time we will replace your device with a Brand New one if it’s returned in a good condition, at any point in time. Please note we do extensive tests on blacklist claims and any fraudulent blacklisting by yourself for insurance purposes or to receive a new device constitutes fraud.

  1. Certified Pre-Owned Products

All CPO products are screen and photographed beforehand to ensure you get your device in the best condition possible. Please note that CPO products are NOT APPLE CPO. These devices are previously used and checked to ensure they work 100%. All CPO devices come with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.

The following are covered by warranty :

  • Factory defaults

The following includes but not limited to problems not covered under warranty

  • Battery
  • Chargers
  • Screen cracks

Please note physical damage voids all warranties

  1. Out of Box Failures

Special imports are covered by out of box failure warranty. We will replace the device regarded you notify us within 7 days of delivery. This is not applicable if user negligence is established

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Repairs

  1. iFixMacs SA can not be held liable for the loss of personal data. It remains the customer’s responsibility to back up any information/data on their device.
  2. If a repair is needed due to the fitting of 3rd party repair Powerbite will honor the warranty.
  3. All repairs are guaranteed for 90 days only from the date of repair.
  4. All Repairs not collected within 30 days will be considered abandoned and disposed of by Powerbite.

NOTE: IF THE REPAIR IS NOT REMEDIED WITHIN 60 DAYS OF THE CLIENT RECEIVING THEIR DEVICE AND THE CLIENT INFORMS IFIXMACS SA WITHIN THIS TIME FRAME, IFIXMACS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ATTEMPT THIS REPAIR ON 2 MORE OCCASIONS. IF AFTER THE 2ND ATTEMPT THIS REPAIR DOES NOT REMEDY THE FAULTY IFIXMACS WILL REFUND THE CUSTOMER.

IFIXMACS will deduct 10% for every 6 months of usage from the date of purchase.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded due to a change of mind.

Products
The provision of goods and services by iFixMacs SA is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, iFixMacs SA will refund the client
in full within 7 days. Cancellation of paid orders by the client will attract a 5 % administration fee.

Delivery

iFixMacs SA can not be held responsible at any point and time for any loss or inconvenience as a direct or indirect result of delays in delivery of your product. Delivery of your products is facilitated by a 3rd party company. Delay in delivery of your product does not void our refunds policy at any point and time.

Please note colors are subject to availability and not guaranteed

Guarantees and Warranties

All new smartphones come with a factory warranty. These warranties vary from brand to brand. Please visit the particular manufacturer for more info on their warranties. Please do not return defective items to us. Under warranty, repairs are facilitated by the particular manufacturer.

All Certified Pre-Owned Phones are guaranteed for 12 Months for faults not caused by the buyer. Any physical damage voids this guarantee. The item must be returned at the cost of the buyer. In the event of a return due to factory faults, we will first attempt to fix the device. If we can’t fix it we will replace it. If we can’t replace it we will refund you.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective, damaged, or blacklisted.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at accounts@ifixmas.co.za

Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to 996 Seeleeu Street, Pretoriuspark, Pretoria East, 0042

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over R1000, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
